It's not that I disagree with the sentiment of sending men out. Assuming the reports are true, and I don't see why they wouldn't be, these "Forna" bastards deserve to be dealt with. I've seen enough from brigands to know what they're capable of, and I daresay that Dentorian bandits are more civilized than Koriner. We appear to be in every other way. I don't take any savour, imagining the things happening to innocent civilians in the countryside. I wish there was something that could be done about it without risking more than we can afford.

It doesn't sit well in my stomach. I don't like being the voice of reason, not when it requires being other things, things I take no relish in.

But I'd never fool myself into thinking that justice is what Glenn wants, no matter how ... odd he's been since what happened to Lady Canti. Glenn ... Glenn wants to play the role of the avenging hero riding in on his white horse, congratulating himself and posing all the while. He always does, and I know exactly where he learned it from. It was Byron's least pleasant character trait, and it's the only one Glenn seems to remember from him at all. I don't have any doubt that it's what got our brother killed, not some Nallen conspiracy, no matter how much more comforting that version of events is.

My lady, I've heard that you've been looking for your sister?
