Oct. 7th, 2011 09:54 pmI went to send word back to Lireth, today ... it occured to me my time might be better spent just opening my journal, instead. I'll assume that you've received the rest of my messages about the state of Mansoure and measures I had to take to restore any sort of order here.
I believe that we have mostly finished all preparations that need to be made before we start heading for the passes. The men and women we've rounded up are very ... unruly, and more than a few have needed to be restrained. I wish that such measures weren't necessary, but I don't see that we had the choice.
I'd intended to travel with them, but I hesitate to leave Mansoure in the state it is, without any real authority. I think I'll leave command to some of my closest men, and remain here for now. That is -- if you do not object, Lord Hasten, Lady Felicia. This is, after all, your territory, and not mine.
