The report from the recent patrols record very little as being amiss. Minor and handled, even in our absence, always proof that we cannot be without diligence. ... Byron would agree. His presence has been quite heavy here. Hm.
Mother is disappointed, of course, at after having us all away for so long, we still aren't all together to celebrate our victory. She made the most of the few days that she could; she has been especially attentive to Nerida and Martha. Martha will be of age soon, though I'm certain no plans will be put into place for her until the others are secured.
Aaron is growing larger, and more curious by the day. I am thankful that I have been present to see it, this year. His second birthday draws closer.
